Today ended up being sort of just what I needed. It started out with coffee (like everyday!) and a little work and thought pondering… and ended with me enjoying what this beautiful city has to offer! I walked around Granville St. and then down to the market where on the route I walked right by Jared Padalecki (yes it was Dean for all you Gilmore Girl fans!) and his wife walking their dogs. I was actually star struck for a moment but kept walking because I didn’t want to be “that fan.” Still, it was so sureal :)
After Kristen and I spent some time there amongst the tourists, I walked back to Kitsilano along West 4th, stopped to read at a cafe and it was so beautiful outside I couldn’t keep the smug grin off my face. It was one of those days that I enjoyed the time alone and appreciated everything and everyone around me. Do you ever have those days or defining moments when you realize that at that moment everything is right; it’s how it should be and you are where you should be? When I feel those moments it motivates me to forget all the reasons I’ve been off track of my goals and to pull myself right back up on the saddle! I’m falling in love with this city and am grateful for everything that has gotten me here. It’s time to focus on my goals and finally reach them.
So I got dressed up and met Kristen for my last no-thinking, no-regret dinner downtown in Yaletown and it was fabulous. I promise to start photographing my food to keep record of it and to keep myself accountable – but that will come! The only “bad” parts of the dinner were a small brownie and a glass of red… which isn’t even that bad! But, I know I am going to have to be much stricter starting this week – and I’m ready. Boy am I ready.
Operation job-fit (find a job and get really fit) begins Monday! Check back for the detailed plan of action tomorrow :)
